CanberraUAV won the 2012 UAV Outback Challenge!
Although were not able to drop our water bottle to Joe, we did manage to enter the search area, cover the whole search area with our camera and successfully find Joe. The UAV then landed safely landed back at Kingaroy Airport.

Out of the original 73 teams that entered the UAV Outback Challenge, CanberraUAV was 1 of 4 teams that made it to the runway at Kingaroy Airport and only 1 of 2 teams that landed safely back at the airport.
We were the only team that found Joe.
Out of all the years the UAV Outback Challenge has run, Joe has only been found twice. That CanberraUAV is one of those teams is an enormous achievement. That we did this in our first time at the Challenge is an almost impossible task.
